I went with a bunch of guys. Left my house at 5am on Thursday, drove the T/A 800 miles out, took out an idler pulley Friday night, so no boost the rest of the weekend, then drove home Sunday after the finals, only to run over something 200 miles from home, and got towed 100 miles to a buddy's house after cracking the oil pan.
Even with all that, it was a great time.

Trailered my wreck out there on Thursday from the Michigan....was too hung over on Sunday to even get her off the trailer, said screw it and limped my sorry *** home. At some point in the sobering process, I decided to go through a 2.0 version of mine this winter. Ugh....
Brien what happened? Cant believe we didnt run into each other all weekend.
George.....fail.....that is all.

Here's what I found after dropping the pan. Snapped the number 7 rod in the middle of it. Looks like I got a bad tank of gas on the last stop, and it rattled bad, that's my guess. The guy behind me said his car was missing bad as well, and had knock, after we got towed, he stopped and put in some octane booster and it cleared up.

Well, it cracked the block as the crank turned over. I guess it can be fixed. I haven't pulled the heads yet, I need to clean up the garage and get organized to bag and tag everything first.
Once I get the heads off, I'll have a better idea of the extent of damages.

Well, due to some suggestions, I pulled the big end of the rod, to check the bearings, and from what people have observed, they don't think it was detonation, most everyone is pointing to defective rod. The bearings don't show signs of massive detonation. So who knows. Sometimes life just kicks you in the nuts.

I rolled out early Sunday morning and when I looked at your truck and the window was down, I figured you had a long night. Good seeing you again and let me know if your going to SEMA.

Brent,
Glad I got to see that car. Absolutely phenomenal quality of work in that thing! Didn't think there was any way it was actually street driven, and the I saw it at raceway lol.
I've seen a bunch of your posts on here, nice to put a face/car with the name.
