I just signed up for the long haul, Google maps says it's 2499 miles for the full trip! I won't even have to change my oil!
Also, I've heard the TBD location is Biloxi, MS but the venue is in question. They're likely looking at the Gulf Coast Coliseum (Cruisin the Coast events are usually there) or the new baseball diamond.

Cool deal. I have the early registration cutoff date on my calendar. If I can get the vacation time then I'd really like to do the Long Haul. If not maybe just drive a bit east and hit Louisiana and the last stop of the tour. If LH then I'd have to drive about 1,200 miles and 5 states to the starting point. When I was younger that'd be a one day drive but now two (I'm 45 years young). I was a LH'er in 1999 going from CA to TN in my GMC truck which is long gone, that was a fun trip. Since then I've been out of the scene until Sept 2014 when I bought the Z28.
I did a partial tour in 1998 going from CA to KS then back home to CA and loved it so much I did the whole thing the next year. I met a husband and wife in Grand Junction, CO, where he had a 67 Camaro with a blown 454 and she had a 97 anniversary Camaro (same one I bought this year!). He worked for GM at the time. So many people and all of them great to be around. I'd like to do it again.

Just registered for the long haul.
I'm glad 'Not Dave' posted the new (to me) early bird requirements. Last time I went it was $80 up until the last week or so before the cruise.
I get to make another pit stop at home about mid-way.

We'll be sponsoring the Tour again this year as the kickoff night sponsor. I'm looking into some activities to do and put on. If you have any ideas feel free to send me a message. We wanted to do a drive in movie theater, however there is not one near the first night venue. I'm thinking about a small cruise to some location and have some ice cream vendors come in.

Going to bring my 2010 Blown Camaro. If you don't see me you will definitely hear me has the loud blowoff.
Was looking a little plain so I ordered some wheels for PowerTour hopefully the make it before hand. Am excited to get these and get them put on. F-20x10 R-20x11
They need to release the TBD stop I am hoping it is Biloxi/Gulfport. I was stationed there just shy of two years and luckily got moved 2 weeks before Katrina blew in. Been back once since then about a year later and it was still pretty bad. Would like to see the place now that it has had plenty of time to recover.

TBD stop has been announced at Gulfport, MS. Awesome it is right where I thought and hoped it would be.
I am staying at the Hard Rock Resort. Never got the chance to check it out since I was transferred to a different base before it could open.
From my email
"Dear Registered Participant,
First and foremost, THANK YOU all for your patience in regards to Hot Rod Power Tour’s Stop #6 on June 11th. We are pleased to inform you that the tour will be at Centennial Plaza in Gulfport, MS, on that day. Quite a few of you did surmise it would be in that neck of the woods. Good guessing!
Route/Driving Directions – we’ve had a few emails regarding where someone can find the HRPT route. We will post the actual driving directions in the Hot Rod Power Tour section of hotrod.com about a month before the event. Printed copies will also be available at credential pick up and at the main stage each day.
Again, thank you so much for your patience while we finalized Stop #6!"
