Pump gas drags Who's going this year? Anybody from Chicagoland going down to watch/compete?
I'll be there again this year to spectate, and it would be cool to meet up with some of you.
Anybody know what hotel they're staying at? I need suggestions for something in the $60-70 a night range, preferably with an indoor pool. The hotel we stayed at last year was a dive. Stay away from the Super 8 Downtown/Graceland

I believe there are 3 hotels in Mississippi about 1 mile away from the TN border that have blocks of rooms for the event. We're hitting up the Fairmont I believe, 26 miles from the track and 13 miles from Comp Cams.

Guys stay away from the airport and anywhere around graceland. Stay around poplar and I40 or somewhere are germantown pky. Its only 20 min from the track or comp and its a nice area with plenty to do.

Why do you say stay away from there? Is it a bad part of town to be in or what. I seem to have a bad habbit of ending up in the worst part of townand not knowing it, just wondering.

Yeah Graceland is in a Horrible part of town...... im thru there all the time....

That where all the GB boys are staying. We stayed there last year and it was GREAT! They have a little diner right next door and liquor store next to that.
Leaving the 8th during the day.

We are trailering 2 cars down from Buffalo, NY.... hoping to leave Wednesday night in order to make the Thursday T&T. I think we are going to stay at the track, but Im down to cruise around Memphis and meet up with everyone if you guys are meeting up before the event.

My car won't be ready. The chassis shop told me it would take 4 days and it has been 26 days and she still isn't ready. We will be having a party at my house after the event Sat night. I'm about 15 min from the track.

Guys just a heads up I live in Memphis. The hotel rates downtown are doubled right now because we are having Memphis in May events. So you want to try out east. Graceland is not a good area at all.
