New chick in MI Hey everyone Im new to this site....well this is my first post anyways. My name is Amanda and Im 26, I bought a 99 Z28 this past Sept and I just love it. The camaro has been my dream car since 93. I had to drive to Ohio to get her but the drive was well worth it as she had low miles and is in mint condition..oh and still stock, that was a must as I want to make it my own...shes a blank canvas! I took her to the drag strip in October and was impressed at how well she did. Best time was 13.85. Shes an auto and like I said STOCK. So far I have switched out the headlights to black halo dual projectors with HID's, smoked out the tails, and replaced the front corner lights with smoked ones. Parts waiting to be installed are...SLP loudmouth II exhaust system and SS hood. I also purchased black ZR1 wheels with rubber from a member on this board. Next on the list to buy is the SLP flowpac and Hooker headers.....Im sure there will be alot more to come but I want this to be a fun project that takes a while to be completed (so I dont get bored lol)
I also want this to be fun at the track but also fun to drive as my daily summer car. I also own a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my winter driver. Nice to meet you all =)

Welcome to the site. You should check out www.MIFbody.com It is a forum for F-bodies, but based in Michigan. I'm on it, its a really great site.

Welcome! Fellow Michigander here as well, and I second checking out www.mifbody.com. What track do you race at? I race mostly at Mid Michigan Motorplex and occasionally at US131 Dragway.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Im from Clinton Township and I race at Lapeer dragway its the closest to me. I did get a new grill, forgot to add it to the parts waiting to be installed. Its from wings west its like the stock one without the camaro engraved...just needs to be installed and painted body color. Im plannin on workin on it this sunday.

Car wouldnt shift right last year but that will be a non issue hopefully. Sure I will see you there this summer. Nice car. Gotta get some of those headlights.
