Finally got a GM V8 Hey all,
Just picked up a 2009 G8 GT. A few of my friends from the central Florida are run various L-series engines and said this is a good site for info.

Thanks guys Ive been drooling over my buddy Adam's SS for a long time now, so it's about damn time. It's an 09 G8GT in Stryker Blue Metallic with the premium package, sunroof, and "part" of the sport package. I had the dealer take off the 19" tires because I plan on replacing them anyway and why pay for something I don't want. As a result the took off the price of the sport package, but I got to keep the medal pedals (wippeedee doo). I only have a pic I took with my cell the day before when I test drove her.

w00t! 532 miles and my first check engine light. She's at the dealership now, they are saying the engine is fine, but the instrument cluster pc board is F'ed. I can pick her up after work and have to await the parts to come in.

There he is! LOL ya and now you don't have to worry about the drowl on your car whenever Im in town. Ill be leaning on you guys pretty heavy for a bit until I am up to speed on all things GM. Watch your inboxes! I found a 1/4 track about 10 minutes from here so once she's broken in I'll have some time slips for it. It seems like the Jax community is pretty lively, but there isn't much here in Valdosta so far.

Nice choice of car, looks good! I wasn't a fan of the G8's when they first came out but the more and more I look at them the more I like them. I've been wanting to test drive one when I get the time, and I know I'll love them once I do, just like the GTO.
I just got my first V8 a week ago so the feeling is still new with me too, congrats!
