Default New guy here with a ws6 PICS*

So i recently picked up a 2001 Trans Am WS6 A4 for a great price. I have always wanted a T/A and I got my opportunity. It only has 54K miles on the od.

1st I have plans to do lid, full exhuast with Long Tube Headers + catted-Y. I've been listening to sound clips and really like the LM2 with hooker Long tubes. Sounds great at idle and on load.

2nd round of modding I want to dig into a cam and heads, stall, gears but still trying to research as to what I exactly want. This is kinda new territory for me. I want something powerful, but streetable for primarily weekend use. It's not my DD, but if my GF wants to drive it, I want to make it manageable.

Anyway here is some pics.

Here is some shots of my G37 as well. It's a 6mt with HFC's, catback, and CAI.

Here is the dyno. The map I was using on the cobb AP is an older one. I'm hoping to get a bit more HP/Tq out of a custom map once cobb releases the software to the tuners

There isn't much out yet as the Vq37hr stuff is new with the 08 G37 and 370z, but Cobb has a accessport that you can use staged maps. They aren't that good. Actually the stage 2 map that I dyno'd with loses HP up top over the stock ecu. I'm setting it back until the tuner in my area gets the tuner software to do a custom map. There is a place in california called technosquare that does custom tunes, but I'm no where near them. Not many options, but now that the 370z released there will be more options coming soon.

Thanks!

I think that the G37 feels a little quicker, but once I start modding the T/A then it will eat the G in a straight line. T/A is better for the dragstrip and the G is better for autoX IMO. The G is a lot better in the turns.

Funny thing is that the T/A has more comfortable seats. Kinda strange

Yeah, I'm not sure. on paper I think the T/A would do better off the line, but I only would know for sure if I take them both out with a buddy for some spirited driving.

Right now it's all about research. I really like what this guy has going with his Camaro, I may use that as the base template for my mod path.

Might want to rethink the LM2 with the LTs. Some cars get horrendous drone with them and the autos are a little bit worse. Find someone that has a setup like that and go for a ride before you decide.

Love a white bird though. I wish I could of found a white Formula when I was looking. I would of paid extra for it.
