Default New from SoCal

Hey guys, new to the board. I'm currently in the market for an Fbody. Found one here in LA at a small dealership, wanted to see what everyone thinks. It was a stock 01 WS6 M6 black on black w/ 11,xxx mi. They were asking 22,900 for it. Crazy, I know. The thing is pristine but the price is insane. What would be a good offer to walk in there with?

I was thinkin about going in there and offering them 14,500 for it. Are the low miles really worth the extra cash?

Not sure if the low miles are worth the extra cash.

From the factory these cars have a lot of room for improvment even with low miles on them.

A car with low miles that's been sitting for 7 to 10 years doesn't guarantee it's like a new car.

I would rather get a clean F-body with fair mileage that's been driven a little and well maintained, for about 10 to 13K and do some upgrades to it... suspension, cam, heads, exhaust, built tranny, clutch, tune, +++ ...

At 20K +, you could find a nice C5 vette.

Just my 2 cents.

If you can pick it up for 14.5K, that would be cool.

I don't think that they'll go under 18k but it's worth a try. You can get a vette for that price or maybe the only mustang we'll all buy the 03 04 cobras.....

i'd probably walk in and firmly offer $15k, then be polite and excuse myself out of there during the typical used car dealer pathetic abrasive bullshit monologue.
a week later, i'd come back and pay just a few bucks over what they paid for it. i'd demand to see what they paid for it or they lose the sale.

that car is a good find, but i hate the bottom-feeding used car dealers (used to work for one) and will not let them make a killing off of fbody guys. someone was probably wanting to keep that car but had to let go of it due to hard times and you know they didn't give them anywhere near what they're asking for it now.
