Default New guy! hoping to do an LS1 80' Trans Am

Hey everyone. Im from Wisconsin. Just picked up this car as a trade for my 02 R1. I thought it was a good trade until I got it home. Ive had it for 3 months and put on maybe 5 miles inbetween adjustments. Ive decided to stop wasting my time with the motor. its a 67 pontiac 400 6.6.

Im hoping to swap in an LS motor in spring. My budget is 3 grand or less for all I need. It should be fun and im really looking forward to it!

Good luck. It looks like your car has a '73 front end...but the taillights could be '80.

Oh ok. Just figured I would say it in case you didn't know. Are you planning on doing anything else to the body when you do the ls swap? I would get the black grill if it were mine.

yup. ill be touching up around the grill and headlights. i have since added non sealed headlights which made it much better. I have some vynil for racing stripes also. Although with this swap, im not sure if i will need or should get a different hood....

Im also going to be redoing the interior. new carpet, custom seats, custom dash, etc.
