Hello fellow car frreaks.
Ben from South SF Bay Area here.
Looking into purchasing a new car soon. Trying to decide between a 05-06 Pontiac GTO and an 05 Caddy CTS-V. Kinda leanin' towards the V right now.
Current car is an 06 Subaru WRX, I love flat fours, grew up around V-dubs. But there is nothing better than the sound of a V8 and GM is the one for me.
Looking forward to learning more and meeting some new people. Maybe get some knowledge to help decide which route to take.

And why do you say GTO over over CTS-V?
I'm just thinking, it will be the main car, four doors is nice thing to have. Easier to do the ipod thing and already has navi. I know this means nothing to most gearheads, but since I will be using it often, it makes a difference to me. How about cost of mods, is there a lot more choices for the gto?
Do any of you guys auto-x a car like these beasts? Is it gonna be hard to throw this much weight around the cones? Short kicking a few idiots butts at the metering lights for the freeway, I don't drag race. Especially not on the street, big no-no in my area. I have not found anything comparing the handling of the 2. Acceleration seems to be pretty close, difference could be made up by the people that drove or the weather. Sorry, I could go on and on and on...
