Default New from South Florida!

Hey guys, I'm Kevin from South Florida. I just came out of a Buick Grand National (turbo v6, for those that dont know) and moved into a 1998 Firebird Formula. Its black on black with Trans Am leather seats inside, hardtop, and overall a very nice car. It was hard getting rid of the Buick, but I needed something a little more practical and a little newer. She has 73k on her and I got it for a pretty killer price, at least I think so. It has a handful of tasteful mods done already, and I started my own DIY "free mod" today - the RamAir hood is by Glassteck and wasn't functional, so I cut out a rectangle on the underside (basically was already drawn out, looks as though its the same hood as the functional ones they sell and just charge more money)and started drilling holes in the grille of the "nostrils." I was wondering about getting hydrolocked, but have posted a thread and the consensus was that I should be fine. I got one side completely done, I just have to drill holes on the other side and call it a day. The mods list I have for the car (in order) is 1).New Front Tires (almost bald!), 2).DiabloSport Chip/Tuner, 3).Nitto 555Rs for the rear, and 4).New Speakers+Amps for inside the car. You need to remove the EGR parts, they just bent the tubeand left it there.

Can anyone give me an idea of HP numbers or 1/4 time with my current setup?

I can't help you with duno numbers but 1/4 time would be in the low 13's if you don't hook to high/mid 12's on a good lauch.

If you ever want to meet up and go to the track Let me know I live in Ft. Lauderdale.

They also just opened up a new shop in pompano called LASHWAY MOTORSPORTS . I stopped their shop a couple of times. Cool guys, they know LSX motors so they could hook you up with some ideas of where to go with mods.

Alot of people don't like the tuners for the 98 year. The PCM was different than the 99+. May want to search around before buying one. Maybe you can find a used one. It's beat to get a dyno tune.

Nice clean ride man! Only thing I dislike would be the decals on the sail panel. Other than that it looks sick. And I love the exhaust tips!

It's the strip that goes across your roof. Behind the t-tops. The decals are on the sides of the car behind the windows on your car
