Default New guy over from TGO

Hey just wanted to introduce myself, I live in southern IN. I have two camaros, an 83 z28 with 350sbc, and a '90 RS sbc359. I was planning a future build on my motor, and decided to go the LS2/LQ4 swap with either a t56 or a 4l80e.

I have looked around this site a ton, and have always gotten links to it. Since I am planning a gen 3 swap, I decided to become a part of this forum.

Anything to consider when swapping in an LQ4 and prices?
I should post this in a sub forum, but what intake with what FI system?

Welcome to the board, its always good to see someone else from IN. There is a ton of good info here. I'm in the process of a swapping in a LQ4 based 408 into a 84 camaro but I'm going with a Vic Jr and MSD-6010.

My plan was to swap in the 6.0 Lq4 and keep it stock, and get it running. Then completely go through the block with a rebuild and stroke and bore it in the 406/408 range.

Cost wise would it be better to get an ignition control box, and an intake and carb? Since my camaro is carb'd with all cfi stuff gone, I would be starting from scratch. How hard would it be to hook up the lq4 FI system from my carb?

Its not too hard to do the wiring for the fuel injection but keep in mind that the truck intake and accessories won't fit. You will need to get f-body accessories and a different intake. You can do a search and find out the specifics on what won't fit and what will. With that in mind it would probably be cheaper and/or easier to get a MSD-6010 box, vic jr. and carb.

That is what i was thinking would be the best route.
