Default finally got away from the import world

had a 1990 nissan 300zx that i was tired of working on and decided it was time for a change

my car i traded for

98 camaro z28 with a 6 speed transmission

Mods: comps cams, intake lid, long tube headers, exhaust but no mufflers or cats

Future mods: mangaflow muffler with 2 chrome tips, port the intake manifold, a tune, a lot of suspension work, springs, subframe connectors/brace, new shocks

so far i've put new plugs, 02 sensor and tighten the steering rack, it wasnt bolted down when i got it

now im trying to figure out the random misfire im having P0300 code -.- thought it would be the 02 seeing how they would cause the misfire, any idea what else i should check into?

Welcome man!

First things first... you have a CAM.. not Cam"s" lol...

Did you put the correct gap in the plugs? What are the cam specs? If the cars knock sensors are not tuned down some the cam can cause a random misfire code.

sorry didnt know since i wasnt the one that put the cam in, i have no idea what the specs are on them, i plan on taking off the valve cover one day and taking measurements, the ACDelco plugs are gap to 0.40 as adv. auto and alldata said, i did notice during the spark plug swap one of them smelled like pure gas so im wondering if that coil isnt firing right

lower control arms and a torque arm will take care of that

not looking to make much power, but it would be nice to keep up with my dad's 86 corvette with a 383 stroker converted to carb

i know i'll have him in the long run about it, he has a 750 cfm with a 900 flow, was custom made, some aftermarket cam
