Default Hello. Quick question!

Hello everyone just thought id throw that out being new and all.

On to my question, im 17 almost 18 and have been saving for just the right car. I have nearly 10,000 too spend. Im wanting a fast car preferably muscle. Now I know you cant just hop in a fast car and haulass. ive been around cars since I was very young and have driven a few cars running 12s or less. My favorite being the thunderbird sc.

these are current cars im most interested in:
mustang gt (3rd gen)
Camaros z28/ss
Cobras cant seem to find a decent priced 99-04
Firebirds, TA etc.

I guess what im asking is which car assuming I have 10,000 to purchase/put into it, will I get the quickest qt mile time in.

Oh btw im not big on f-bodies.

thanks, eric

An f-body of any same year mustang is going to own it... so you have a head start. Start looking at parts for the different cars you are considering and see which are cheaper. I bought an LT1 because I didnt want to pay LS1 prices on parts... I've had a handful of mustangs, and while they are comfortable for short people like me, it was time for something different.

Welcome- I am new here as well. My daughter has an '02 GT, and I have a really hard time fitting into it, as I am 6'4". She is 5'2" and NP. Her GT is quick, with an AT and 4.10's, intake, exhaust, ect., but not FAST. We've never 'officially' got an ET, but seat 'o the pants tells me 13ish... maybe...

I agree on the above about an LS transplant.

The more and more I learn about the GM LS series, the more impressed I am. It is just a very well designed, good motor.

ya im only 17 and 6ft so the gt maybe uncomfortable. As far as the foxbody is concerned maybe I havent seen very nice ones but its just not visually appealing. Speaking of which diablo that z of yours is amazing... I fell in love.
