Default hello from Scotland building an LS1 Mk2 Ford Escort

hi all

My name is Finlay and i live in a town called Buckie in NE Scotland, in the middle of building a Mk2 Ford Escort with and LS1 and Tremec T56, should be an awsome machine when completed , will prob have loads of questions regarding my LS1.

Hi Finlay, car looks great, always had a soft spot for the mk1 and mk2 Escorts. I'm in the planning stages of something similar for my Nissan, and have been thinking about cutting the firewall and moving the engine back a few inches from where most people sit them in S13's. Can I ask if you got the everything over here or from the USA.

Wow Finlay, GREAT looking Escort. I watched a lot of old UK race videos when I was younger, and the little MK1 and MK2 Escorts were one of the very first cars I wished I had.

Never see any in the US though :/

sorry for late reply

i got most stuff i needed from usa, alot cheaper but import tax can sometimes catch you out, id oreder everything at one to save on tax, if you need any help then just ask :-)

Hmm. Not a fan of the Mk2's.... untill now.
So video?
What parts of the engine bay did you cut to fit that in.. i can see the firewall and radiator ...did you cut the wings to make it fit?
How heavy?
