Default New LS1 RX7 FD Owner

Hey guys. So I just picked up my new ride. I was previously an import guy i guess you can say (i don't really care to put myself in any category really, a car enthusiast is a car enthusiast in my mind, let's all just enjoy our love for cars). i owned (selling for a dd) a 370z and it just kinda got boring. i picked this up and man, what a difference.

The torque is amazing and so fun to drive, and it definitely doesn't hurt that the car sits at 2800 lbs. So anyways, i'm definitely an ls1 noob. I'll be looking here for all my know how and advice. The car is pretty built as is but i definitely want to keep taking her to the next level.

Mods:
  • Stock Crank
  • Scat Forged Rods
  • Probe Forged Flat Top Pistons
  • Coated Bearings

I look forward to meeting you guys and picking your brains. Thanks guys.

its running ceramic long tube headers (not sure which brand) into a custom y pipe (which needs to be replaced because it wasn't done with mandrel bends) into a blitz nur spec muffler.

NICE!! That's one of the best looking imports of all time, IMO, and it's nice to see one with a real motor under the hood! (I can't stand rotaries)

Love the car man. Huge fan of the FD. I am a big rotary nerd too, but I don't mind a swapped FD. I drove one a few years ago and was blown away at how quick it was for just a stock vette motor swap. Definitely in for some vids.

yea i hate the animosity between swaps and rotary guys. i'm straying away from it as much as possible. i can appreciate both.

BTW, if you've got options if you want to run a true dual exhaust

apexi dual N1
kakimoto
st. mays

All of them will need the y-pipe/splitter cut off but that will give you a great start towards a dual exhaust setup

supposedly only a 50 lbs difference between the ls1 and the rotary. i'll take a 1% shift to 51/49 for all the power/reliability
