I think I like white stripes better. But it's your car.

Do not purchase that SLP kit. I wonder how many people they actually get to spend $4,000 on that. What a joke.

1. GM SS hood - If you want an SS hood, get one. Not my cup of tea however. It isn't an SS, so why make it look like one? Make it different from everybody else. Get a cowl hood, or even an SS style with a larger cowl.
2. SS Stripes (silver) - Again, your choice. I would leave it.
3.Eibach Pro springs (lower 1.3" all around) - Not a very good spring by any means. Terrible ride quality and performance. Get a quality spring. Either Strano or BMR.
4. SLP Diablosport programmer - Waste of money. Save what you would spend on the tuner and get a custom dyno tune after you do some mods. Much better bang for your buck.
5.NGK TR55 spark plugs - Solid choice of plug.
6. LS1 smooth bellow - More for looks than anything. Wait until a used one pops up in the FS section. Don't pay for one new.
7. SLP Loudmouth 1 - Nice catback if you stay with a catted Y pipe. If you plan on going ORY, choose something else. It will sound tooooooo raspy.
8. Volant CAI - No need. Buy yourself a lid and thats all you need. SLP, Fast Toys, etc. A lid is a lid is a lid.
9. B&M stage 1 shift kit - You can get this if you want. Really no need. I would spend the cash from this on a quality trans cooler.
10. Spec-d or Option Racing Black Projectors
11. RPM Chrome 505s 19X8.5F 19X9.5R (38mm offset) -0 Will look very nice, and a good priced wheel. Can't beat them for the price IMO. Very heavy however.
12. BFGoodrich G-force KDW2 245/40/19 - Solid tire.
13. BFGoodrich G-force KDW2 275/35/19
14. Headlight and Fog light HID Conversion 10k all - I don't like 10k myself. I prefer around 5k. But again, your opinion matters here.
15. Q customs dual 12" subwoofer box
16. Kicker 2 12" comp subs
17.Kenwood stereo receiver
18. Kicker DX250watt Amp
19. I want to eventually put a magnacharger supercharger on it. with NW90MM TB - Sounds fun!

Now, if it were me, this is the order of which I would do things.

-Lid
-LT headers, Catted Y, SLP LM1
-LS6 intake, ported/polished factory TB.
-Quality shock and spring. Either Koni or bilstein for the shocks, strano or BMR for springs.

After that, whatever you prefer first.

Most importantly, have fun! Enjoy the new car.

Hey I really appreciate your feedback, I've never really modded a car before, and simple bolt -ons seemed like a good place to start. I have a revised list of parts...
1. Z-style hood (very cool looking and comes with open air box like similiar to LT1 Ram air
2. Single racing stripe (matte black)
3.SLP LM1
4. BMR Extreme strut tower brace
5.BMR front and rear sway bars 32mm front 21mm rear
6. UMI sub frame connectors
7. HIDs 10k
8. Spec-D halo projectors
9.MMR GT1 19X8.5 +40mm offset
10.MMR GT1 19X9.5 +40mm offset
11.BFGoodrich G-Force KDW2s 245/40/19
12.BFGoodrich G-Force KDW2s 275/35/19
13. Strano lowering springs
14. Bilstein Stage 2 shocks
Any suggestions on LT and catted y?
will getting rid of the EGR system affect the 98LS1 very much? Thanks again

Headers(longtubes) and either a high flow catted y-pipe or ORY. You'll see gain from this fer sher.
Go with ARH or Kooks setup...if cash allows.

Suggestions for long tubes depend on the amount of cash you are willing to spend.

The best bang for your buck hands down are Texas Speed & Performance. Since you are planning on going FI later, get the 1 7/8". The quality is great, good fitment, and theyre stainless.

I would get a catted Y if you want the LM1. That is what I currently have for my '99 TA. I love it, but with an ORY it sounds like *** IMO.

I'm guessing ARH is American Racing? I found some American Racing headerrs that are 1 3/4" X 3" with 3" high flow cats and 3" y pipe for $1,422. Also have 1 7/8" X 3" same setup as 1 3/4" X 3 for a couple hundreds more. Is there any performance difference between 1 3/4 and 1 7/8?
