Default hello, for a second time

i joined this forum several years ago (2005) when i purchased a 2002 t/a....that was sold a long time ago.
im going through what i would call an early midlife crises lol, looking to get into another 1998-2002 t/a.
when i sold my 2002 it only had abot 40k miles, a lot of the ls1 t/a's im seeing now are pushing 160k-180k miles.
im looking for input on how these high milage ls1 t/a's are holding up. ive got the itch bad so i might even finance it just to get one sooner than saving up, so i cant get into something that is going to nickle and dime me while im making payments.
i would be looking to buy something as close to stock as possible auto or m6 trans wont matter. i would also drive it, the car would not be a garage or driveway queen. it wont be a daily driver, probably a few hundred miles a month not counting any road trips.
im asking for first hand accounts of people driving and maintaining high milage ls1 f body's.
