Hello, checking in from Bakersfield.I am new to LS series, not new to our playground. I am currently in the middle of a 5.3 swap inot a Jeep CJ7, and keeping it smog legal. Lots of info here, so I thought I would join.

We can't have you leaving it stock. Put a Crane # 1449041 (210/218 114lsa+4) in it (or similar sized cam) for a nice increase in useable hp/trq, while still having plenty of - overlap(-14*) to pass smog.

Thanks Blu, I may look into that in the future. Getting through the ref is my main priority right now. I did go through this one and re-seal, timing chaing, oil pump, etc... But I didn't pull the heads or anything as it ran fine when pulled out of a Tahoe. I'm keeping the 4l60e, and am using Advance Adapters parts, with Novack motor mounts. It should be in place this weekend.

Yeah, just had to throw it out there. So do you already have the exhaust done, got an photo's ..?
Btw, that cam will work good with the stock stall TC.
