HI Everyone and Thank You for all of the info that I have found here. I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 4X4 with the LQ4 and am considering upgrading to a LY6 or other Gen IV engine. If anyone has info about what is involved it would be greatly appreciated. I am wading through the search results in hopes of finding something and have gotten sidetracked by many posts that were to interesting to pass by. Thanks to all!

Thanks for the reply. It's got 208K on it and is feeling it's age like I am. Looking for more HP because I tow a tractor behind it and there is very little flat in this area. Have seen a lot of positive info about the LY6. Just not sure if it will be worth the trouble to go that route. Would love a diesel but I would be better off buying a new truck and financially out of the question right now. I don't have to do anything right now just trying to get something figured out now so I don't rush into a bad decision when that day comes.
