New C5 Guy!
Hey!
Just switched from being a Ford guy for years to now building up a GM
Why not right!?
I guess to be fair my first car was a Grand Prix, put a turbo kit on, and ran 18psi... but lets not talk about that lol.
I am currently in University for Automotive Engineering so I am not bias when it comes to manufacturers.
Going with a C5 as the base of the build. Only issue is there was no motor. So I picked up an engine for it out of a donor vehicle and I will be building it up.
It is going to be a road race / street car so I am thinking heads, cam, intake, make sure I have lots of torque and power under the curve, M6 trans, 373...390...or 410 gears (need to do more reading on the gear breakage issue).
I need a TON of parts too, so hopefully all of you can help me attain them
And... of course being a "newb" (Man that sucks.. have to re-start all over again on this forum), I will be looking for lots of info but I am sure most of it is all the same.
I am thinking keeping the cam to a tr224 or tr228 to keep the low end grunt.
Anyhow... lots to talk about and lots to learn! Time to add to the discussions going around here so I can get to know everyone and get to post up some WTB! haha
Regards!
