Default identifying turbo 400

I just purchased a 64 Nova with a Turbo 400 that shifts very quick in first after whining out, leaks and was worked on before with helicoils not set properly. I want to replace it but am finding alot of different ones out there. How do I determine between the Chevy and BOP patterns, and also there are short tail and long tail. Mine measures about 33" from front of bell housing to rear at U-Joint. Please Help. Michael;

The length differences are in the tailshaft housing, pretty obviously visable. There are at least 3 not counting 4WD versions.

Chevy bolt pattern has an inverted U shape, BOP are more like an inverted W.
