Default Front mount IC and air flow

I installed a big Bell FMIC and want the best possible air flow through it for efficiency. I have cut away the license plate backing and removed my driving lights. I have initially cut away enough of the bottom edge of the fascia where it slopes up to meet the plastic piece that is directly behind the washer bottle and helps direct air from the air dam up and through the A/C condenser and radiator. The plastic piece I am talking about is the large flat plastic panel. With it in place it appears it will disrupt the air flow going through the intercooler. I was thinking with it removed I should not have an engine cooling issue since ram air will be coming from the front through the intercooler, past the washer bottle and through the radiator that direction. Just to help, the lower air dam will be reinstalled as it should be normally.
Before I do this, does anyone think this will cause cooling issues?
If so, why?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Steve.
