newbie from mn
Hello all, I am the newbie to these cars and motors.
I have been a diesel guy for the better part of 10 years but have switched to the ls power group.
My dd is an 07.5 2500hd with a stock 6.0 but am currently building a decent motor to put in it in the spring when I can take the t/a out of the garage and drive it while I am swapping.
I am building the ly6 6.0 with a comp cam and springs, ported heads and balanced bottom end. hoping for 500ish hp.
I will then be putting a 9" rear end in the t/a since my brother has done a good job of tearing up the stock one while he had it for the last 10 years.
It is all pretty much stock other than a set of boyd coddington wheels and a lowering kit and clutch.
He's run a best of 12.9 when he gutted the car all out to beat up on a buddy's 5.0 stang.
I have a LS2 swap in mind for the t/a possibly next winter so I don't plan on doing much with the ls1 that is in it besides maybe a little spray for fun.
