Hey guys I'm new to this site and honestly the first forum I've ever been on lol ok so I wanna start off by diving in with a question or two to whoever cares to respond. I'm in the process of finding a nice 1500 with a 5.3... I've always been a turbo guy, but I'm a diesel mechanic so my knowledge of how to set up a cummins for power is a hell of a lot more than my 5.3 venture.

I want to do all the work myself so I can actually learn something along the way so I would love to hear what a good base is for a 5.3 turbo build. I know the 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 are pretty decent at holding boost and the valves/springs will need attention, but cam, heads, intake, all that good stuff I would like to have explained out to me if someone has time.
