Hey guys/girls, Im new here and I'm looking to swap an LS1 into my sons 81 Z28. Ive been looking into it for some time now and decided that the LS1 is the best option for fuel mileage and power combined. Im just looking to see if there are any specific threads that deal with the GEN-II camaro and integrating the wiring harness to keep the factory appearance inside. Also, I've been looking on ebay for a decent used LS1 to buy, what are some of the hassles in swapping this engine into a GEN-II camaro? I have the original 4 speed tranny that came in the car that i would like to use if possible and have already rebuilt the front sub-frame and suspension. Any advice or threads dealing with these issues would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.
