yes a miata. All jokes aside it is a very well balanced car. And 2200lbs with 450hp is going to be a ton of fun. It will have a wide body kit thatbwill have 17x9 on front and 18x10 in the rear. I will post pics as the build continues.

Car is located in Houston

Looking forward to your build, I have been thinking about picking up a miata for a second project.

OUTSTANDING!

I've got a 90 Miata that I've been dreaming about putting my old LT build in.

I read an article on the Monster Miata a while back, that told the story of the guy in Arizona that started the whole thing; how practically everyone that saw one of his builds wanted one... and they were so cool, after some years, Miata Japan actually came over to look at 'em. The amazing thing is how the setup maintains the stability that the regular Miata enjoys, only with a butt-load more power.

Looking forward to hearing more about this. And welcome!

I have a 93 miata I drive back and forth to work. I love the little car and would love to put a v8 in it one day. I've been told I should put the 408 from my camaro in it haha

would installing a heavier LS motor in a maita you would think that would throw off the balance of the car?

You would think it would, but it doesn't. According to everything I've read, the handling characteristics remain very similar.

I'd love to drive one to see for myself.

Welcome to the forum and good choice on picking an NA to do the swap.

I've got a '92 Miata myself that I picked up as another project that I would love to swap an LS into, living in California makes that a giant pain in the ***.

This project sounds way cool!! Reminds of the Subaru BRZ article I read that was LS swapped. Not positive but I think they said it only added like 70lbs or something to the car due to aluminum block etc. Would HAVE to be a blast to drive just like your Miata would. Good luck
