New LS owner from Nebraska.
Hi,
I'm a long time browser of this site, first time poster... I just brought my first LS1 car home Saturday. Drove it 300 miles one way and had a service engine light come on as well as the Traction control light in the dash. This car is a 2001 Trans Am WS6. It is one I want to be able to take on long trips but still have fun with. I'm thinking the first thing i'm going to do to the car is take the cold air off that the previous owner installed to see if that's causing the service engine light. What would be the next steps I should take to check out the major parts of this car? Change oil and other fluids and...?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
