Default mr. chainsaw's 2008 5.3 gmc sierra

Hi, i'm Mike. I live in St. Louis, MO. i'm 30 and a service manager for an auto repair shop. here's my truck.

took me months to find a rcsb with what I wanted (5.3, 3.73s, power locks/windows, cruise control, not a work truck). here is how it looked first day I got it.

the truck came with a belltech 4/6 drop kit, so naturally, the second day of having it, I installed the drop kit

ever since I was in the "just looking stage" for the truck, my end game was to turbo it. I bought a ls6 cam, then second guessed myself and thought I wouldn't be happy with it, so now its a paper weight in my office and I ended up getting a triple 12 cam from stock48.

went with ls7 lifters, pac valve springs, and all the other required parts to get rid of the DoD (thank you iamkeniff for the thread that had all the part numbers! http://www.performancetrucks.net/for...t-list-493773/ )

while doing the cam change there were some parts on the bumper and hood where the plastidip was starting to lift and peel. So I opted to have the grill, front bumper, and rear bumper professionally painted

and then of course, it happens. 5 days after getting the truck back, I messed up and rear ended a cobalt :sigh:

barely made a dent in the trunk lid of the cobalt btw. bumper, hood, grill, and every single bracket that holds them on needed to be replaced. so luckily I had made friends with the bodyman who had just did the paint work on the truck and knowing first hand how talented he was I obviously opted to have him do the repairs. ended up going with a 2011 2500hd hood and grill. I hadn't seen it done, and could only really find information on people doing the 2500 hood on the chevys, so it was kinda touch and go. I think it turned out really nice though.

wife is buying me these wheels for xmas/birthday

once i get my xmas holding fund and xmas bonus i'll be buying the on3 turbo kit, i've got a built 4l80 in the garage, so come spring hopefully she'll be a monster. if anyone has critiques i'm open to suggestion on what else I could do to this thing to make it look a little cooler. thanks for viewing this. I will be updating this thread as I update the truck.
