Noobie to LS1Tech, 65 Belvadere Budget Swap Hey there, just purchased a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere, car is decent as I drove it an hour home but the Slant 6 just doesn't cut it. So a budget Ls swap has got to happen. I'm thinking 5.3 carborated with a either a Th350 or Th400 depending on which one I find first for cheap money. The goal is motor transmission running and driving for less than 1700$.
I'm not a mechanic by any means, Ive never done any thing like this before and could use all the help I can get. Anyone on here swap an ls into a 65 or earlier b-body?

Ive just done my first swap but its in a 76 skylark. I have seen other people on here swapping into mopar cars. The k-member will give you the most issues. Go look into the coversions&hybred section try to find some mopar swaps. You might want to swap something else if you have a limited budget.
