NC Guy Coming back to the F-Body Community
Hello all,
I'm a long-time F Body guy, my third car was a 1997 LT1 Vert M6 that I got in 2002. That car was fun as hell to drive, but was constantly breaking. Finally gave up on it after the oil pump quit and the engine seized.
I had a 94 Firebird V6 T-top car M5 that I beat around in for a bit after that.
Then I got a 1998 Camaro Z28 Vert M6 in 2005. I sold it in 2006 when I started law school and haven't driven an F-Body since.
I was actually looking really hard for the perfect C6 Vette Convertible when the opportunity presented itself to buy back my old 98 Z28 from the buddy I had sold it to. It was filthy, but I got it cleaned up, and it's still only got 60,000 miles on it.
I got it in November with a fresh Mobil 1 oil change and AC service. I've spent about ten hours detailing it so far. I changed the air filter yesterday and replaced the transmission fluid with some Mobil 1 ATF. I'll be completing fluid changes for the rest of the car in the next few weeks.
I've got a few mods on my list of things to do, but first up I need to replace the headlights and wheels because both look like crap from neglect.
Anyhow, just wanted to say hello. i actually had another account under another name but I couldn't remember the login. I'm back and so far I've had some fun having my old car back, and I'm looking forward to more!
