Default LS1 Rx7

Hi everyone just wanted to introduce myself here in the forum. I have been using this forum for a while now to learn more about the LS1 engine. I am doing a ls1 swap into my RX7, this place does have a ton of info . Currently I am planning on a cam swap into the ls1 before putting the engine in, as I am looking to have around 350 hp. Hopefully I get a 228r cam kit someone is selling here or else I'll probably go with TSP.

You don't need a cam to make 350hp. The LS1 (all LS1s) make 350hp at the flywheel from the factory (even though the Fbody is rated lower, it is actually not). If you are looking for 350rwhp then all you need is full boltons.

Hey thanks for the response, I am looking to get around 350 whp or more . As far as bolt on I am going with a Cold air intake and exhaust would probably be 3 inches stainless straight pipe mated to a some mufflers. Also using 1.75 longtube headers. As the engines out already I was thinking of doing the cam swap anyways and since I will be daily driving this thinking of going with 228r. In the future Ive got plans to upgrade to a fast intake and TB. Also opening up the T56 since the guy who sold it said it was grinding 3rd and 4th, so gotta change the synchros for those.

Here are some pics:

The powerplant:

You should be making closer to 400rwhp with boltons and a 228r cam. Heres an RX7 similar to your setup:

That's even better . Thanks for the link I'll probably get a 228r then. Looking to get a deep tone exhaust too. Do you think 114 is better if I dont want a choppy idle? I have seen alot of 112 lsa and seem like its a bit too lopey and choppy for dd.
