Swapping 1988 Astrovan to 98-02 F-Body LS1 I'll be swapping out the 4.3L V6 in my daily driver, a 1988 2WD Chevy Astrovan, with an LS1 from a 98-02 F-Body and the matching 4l60E. Before the install, I plan to upgrade the cam for improved performance, and sound at idle. I'm scheduled to pull the V6 beginning in May. I've discovered several threads on engine swaps for 90's Astrovans, but very little on the late 80's. If you know any people to contact or threads to read before I get started, please send them my way...

welcome to site. the thought of asto van swap I was wandering when I would see it happen. I think you could use a small block install kit then adapt Ls motor to them. wiring you should be able make stand alone and tie into van as well.
