Hello all, My name is Josh. My current project is a 1976 Chevy Malibu Classic. My dad got it as a father son project and he wanted to stay with the cammed 383 that was in it but i have him convinced to do an ls swap. I know some of you will ask whats wrong with the 383, and there is nothing wrong with it, but I thought it would be a good to modernize the car. Plus i havent heard of a lot of 73-77 malibu/chevelle builds.
Mock build list:
LQ4 or LQ9 block
LS2/3 heads, intake, and TB
Headers
Cam
Ect.
We havent decided on a trans yet
At the moment its just a build list, but id like to get the ball rolling so i joined here for some advice.
I just get the weird feeling that its going to go from a LS Swapped cruiser to a High horsepower boat.

I would buy a complete truck(preferably if want a 6.0 is a 3/4 ton 2wd) that way you have engine/tranny complete to get swapped then later build up power. You can get alot of stuff that will adapt from truck. then sell off parts/scrap it over scale. Welcome to site post some pics.
