Lq9 questions. PLEASE HELP

Lq9 questions. PLEASE HELP I have a 2004 LQ9 out of a Escalade. It came with a stand alone harness and I am trying to get everything perfect on it before I put it in my 37 Chevy pick up.
Anyway, I just put new heads on due to one of the original ones being cracked. I put factory 317's on it. Just cranked it up today and it is idling very high. About 2000 rpm's. It's not throwing any codes up! All I can think is maybe the fuel pump I'm running is too much pressure. It's 80 psi, also I did not see a fuel return line on this engine.
Could some please give me advice on this?
