New guy from NY
Hey Guys,
I am new to LS1tech but have a couple build threads and many posts on other forums out there. Links in my sig to my two most extensive build threads to date.
I just picked up a high mileage 2002 LQ4 to take the place of the TPI 383 stroker in my Jeep. I joined here to do some research on my engine freshen up, harness build, and swap. Hopefully I'll snag some deals on parts I will need as well.
Here is a pic of the 383 as it was being installed in my Jeep a few years ago. I recently pulled the TPI setup off and put a Holley truck avenger carb (boo...) The plan is to sell the TPI setup and engine management stuff to fund the LQ4 build. The new goal is to ditch all of the exotic aftermarket parts involved with this SBC have a mostly stock, more modern setup that I can get parts for and repair with access to basic parts store stuff should something happen when I am out wheeling in the boonies. Being able to run 87 octane and possibly get better mileage would be a bonus as well.
