Hey Crew, the names Bugsy and I just signed up here because I own a rare '86 GMC G3500 Transvan. It has the LT9 w/ a TH400...sigh, I love my rig but power wise it is weaker than a lawnmower engine. My tranny just went out and my engine is on its last leg as well...bare with me as I try to ask questions and learn to see if an E-ROD LS3- 4L80 or 6L80 combo is the way to go? ...I'm looking for decent gas mileage and torque ( GVW is 8600 )...I'm glad to be abound and I look forward to getting you guys input, Thanks again \m/

I have friend with 06 Silverado with 8.1/Allison auto combo. Its better on mpg than his 6.0/4L80E trucks are. Power real good. Check into that.
