Default New member from MI, LS1 Chevette

Hi there, I figured I would introduce myself as I will be needing the help of some of you forum ls experts. My car I just picked up, its an 1987 Chevette with a 1998 Camaro LS1 swap. Its a mostly done project but will need a lot of things more "finished" than the PO did. It will be get plated and raced at the local drag strip once running right. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Stock they were around 2000lbs. This is gutted with a cage, engine I estimate is pretty close to the stock iron engine that came out. I'd guess its 2000-2100 roughly. I can tell you it certainly moves quick with the power / weight ratio!

Well that's the tricky part, the guy I bought it from didn't know much and doesn't have the builders contact info. From what I can tell, mostly stock, had the intake off and one head is ported one is untouched but both have same casting. New springs and possible ls6 or other stock gm cam. The engine looks super clean and has atleast had the heads off and cleaned up. About all I know unfortunately.

Exactly, its so light that it has a hard time hooking up even in third gear. It sounds like you've got quite runner based on your signature!
