Rookie checking in - 1972 C-10 Short bed - Getting ready for Swap! Sup everyone .. been reading these forums for a while now. Now that i have the motor i figured i better register and start asking some questions.
First off heres the truck.
She's a 1972 Short Bed C-10 i picked up a few months ago.Right now she has a 350 bored, RV Camm??, headers, holy 600 with a TH350 with a stage 2 shift kit.
Heres a few shots of the motor she will be getting. Its a 5.3L pretty much all stock .... has some MSD wires about it. Got the motor, stock harness, and all 02 Sensors for $1500.00. Good deal to me seeing how the motor only has 44K miles on it.
Hopefully everything goes somewhat smoothly. I know that there are always snags along the way but i think i can handle it. I plan on getting the harness and computer redone from speartech. They seem to have a totally "plug and play" setup.
Hope you guys like the truck/motor. Any advice will greatly be appreciated. I'm sure i will have lots of questions along the way.
