68 conv resto rod...ill need lots of help
I am so glad to have been referred to this site...
Ill i can say is WOW !!
I usually hang at www.transamcountry.com my name is Z1 there i have a 79 TA that took 2nd at the Nationals this year.
I also did the bandit run & I have The Bandit Run Trailer u might have seen at the Nats.
My 79 is stock but i am doing a 68 firebird conv. resto rod
i live in Independence Mo
I hope to save alot of mistakes by posting here from the get go so id appreciate any help .
I believe i have found a donor car a 97 ta conv w 65k mi
still looking for the 68 vert I want to get started asap so i can have it done buy spring

definitely hold out for ls1. it has so much more power than i expected. 300whp stock is pretty ridiculous. The top end power is awesome, but i have never driven in an lt1 so i wouldn't know how that is. I've heard that they are more of torque monsters tho

If you are going to do a swap and you do not have the LTx motor, I would wait for a LSx motor. IMHO , Nothing wrong with the LTx motor. The LSx motors are just the next generation and are easy motors to get some decent horsepower out of. Again nothing really wrong with the LTx motors.. Roger
