Need I say more?
No, I'm not a frustrated Mustang owner, in fact I was pushing well over 400 RWHP and 500 Ft. lbs of torque running low 11's and doing some damage to others. I just sold it and I'm looking into the LS1, period.
I'm looking to buy either a WS-6 or a SS, definitely will mod it and spray it for the time being. If anyone is selling or know about 1, let me know. I'm in the Tampa area but will consider options. I can't be without a V8 for too much longer.
Thanks for the welcome and I'll be learning a little more about the car that I'll be getting from all of you. I'm currently on Moddedmustangs.com and my screen name is 04GTAMPA, feel free to search me and understand that I'm a leveled head person that tolerates no BS or participates in it.
Thanks again.

I just bought an SS from a dealership in Ohio, and they have another one.

I don't know what your price range is, but just an fyi. I had it shiped and it only cost 450 for an enclosed trailer from Ohio to Rochester, NY.

Hey Ex-Stanger - Don't feel bad. I have had Mustangs since 1998. SN-95, SN-95 New Edge and an S197. I, like you, just looked into something different.
You will not be disappointed, just expect the F-body to "feel" a little less refined than any of the previous Mustang platforms, except the Foxbody. It's not that it IS less refined, it simply has a different suspension, driving stance and engine dynamic.
Although people compare the two, coming to it from an engineering standpoint, they are apples to oranges.
Enjoy the experience and welcome to the wickedly wonderful world of a LS1 powered F-body, it is an experience not to be missed in a lifetime. lol

Well thanks guys. I know I loved the GT, specially with the "hit", but the 400 RWHP got old and I was impatient. I've heard some LS1 and I have to say that I will miss the sound of my baby, but I think I'll make up for it in power. And I agree, apples to oranges. I've been saying that all along in the Stang forum. Some get pissed some understand, there's no replacement for displacement. 281 against 346? Oh well.
I've been looking in the classifieds section, it looks like this would be the right place to buy an LS1. Right?

My first V8 was a 91 GT that I saved $ for 2yrs to purchase at 19. I sunk about $3500 in repair, built motor, ect and now wish I never did and would have put it towards the 98 SS I now own; but if I had my LS1 at 19 I would probably would have had dozens of tickets or maybe something worse. I have to say even though mustangs are far underpowered compared to the LS1 they sound awesome, and I still miss that hollow drone of my 5.0.
