Russian-American? Nah...
Hey fellas (and gals)!
Just a brief "hello" to everyone from the Russian! Been a fan of the motor for a short time (3 years) and only now am realizing the true potential of the pushrod. Anyways, hey again and I hope to see you lads in the forums!

No no no. You're all wrong! Sputnik 1 was originally planned by BMW. You see, they couldn't properly configure the transfer case so the Traction Control System was way off-balance, which made the Germans give the project to the Russians, where Lada figured it all out and made it into a flat-4.

True gear heads really don't give a flying poop if you arrived here on the first Sputnik.
The civil war was was fought here a long time ago, can't remember what that war was about, I was around just don't remember. Some folks even buy push rod engines after driving rice cars.
The good part in my old eyes, you're here. Is Alabama part of the United States?

Funny you say that because that is his nickname (Sputnik), I should know because I gave it to him. This is a good kid fellas. One that we HAVEN'T lost to the "ricer" generation. He is a straight "A" student, works at a local auto parts store and works with me at my shop. He is down to earth and a just enough of a smart azz to make me think of him as family. Welcome to the club Sputnik see you tonight.
