hello all, I not new here but just getting back into posting here. I have a collection of pretty fast imports but was looking to get something american just for a street car to cruise with and obviously be quick both at the track and on the street. Thats where I turn to you guys i have no idea what i relly want so I will give you a budget I have in mind and let you guys try to sway my purchase based on your knowledge. I have bassicly 4-5K to spend on a running or almost running car and an unlimited upgrade budget (just gotta wait and save).

well with 4-5K you could find an early LS1 with high mileage i think.. but you'd have to look around. you might be better off with a LT1 and building that up. unless a replacement LSX is part of your unlimited upgrade budget. good luck hunting. post some pics of that supra!
