Hi all, I made a post in the wanted section. I am here to move up in the world of sorts lol.

My situation is as follows. A couple months ago I purchased a beautiful V6 (so kill me lol. I didn't know any better at the time anyway. I'm a girl with no knowlege of cars really..) Camaro



I loved it, Camaros are my dream cars. Then I found out what the V6 power meant. I wasn't really satisfied, so my new dream was to put in a Ls1 or an lt1 engine in it. I did the costs and figuring and such and all was going according to plan. Then something happened.

I don't want to go into full details as it was very painful but after years with my volvo and only months after getting my dream car a taxi decided to total my car. He got the ticket, I was injured, and we are suing the company. I was absolutely the victim, I'm sure all of you know how taxis are. We put a lot of effort and time into my car and I was willing to keep it forever... Now that dream is gone, but I guess now the easier part is getting a car with an Ls1 engine in it already is a better idea.

I'm still a little raw from everything. I am definitely out there to buy. We will use the money gathered from the lawsuit and insurance plus whatever else we need we can get a loan. So guys, hopefully I will buy from one of you all, I have gotten great responses and I appreciate them all. I am trying to make the time to see all of them but it will be hard without transportation. I can only go places realistically with my father on the weekends. Also just trying to peace together all the funds in one place, the law works pretty slowly I guess. I am trying to learn more about cars now so that impulse buys like my green RS don't happen again.

I hope you all can understand and welcome me once I get a LS1 powered car, either a firebird or a camaro. Thanks all!!!

Welcome to the site, we'll welcome you no matter what u have, LS1 or no LS1. Sucks what happend to the car though it looked like a really nice ride. Hope your feeling alot better and good luck on getting an ls1, btw ur not in NY by any chance are you? Cause taxis driving retarted has me thinking nY?

Nah, not NY. I live in Chicago. I hear taxis drive bad all over the world though. I didn't used to hate taxis until now.

sucks to hear about the camaro, just look at it as a sign that you needed a v8 but then again once you have an ls1 you will be wishing you had more hp... or an ls7

l lol I have a feeling if I get an LT1 I'll be feeling that way but today my father had said he was leaning towards looking at the older cars... less money. I really do love the sound of the LT1 though... Hahaha yes maybe it was a sign. I loved my camaro but every time I saw a Z28 I said "MAN I wish I had a v8!"

If only I lived in Cali aww... yes I can't WAIT to get a new car though. Everything slows down in live when you don't have a car of your own.

lol i have a lt1 and love it. its only what... 30-60 hp differance......untill the mods come into play.

accually i had no idea about the cars when i bought my stupid lt1. i saw it was a six speeed and jumped on it. i hate myself.

Well today we saw hot ss 's car. We were both blown away and it has made me for sure desire an LS1 powered car. Um throughout the time we have seen cars this is the first privately owned car and the most amazing one lol. This coming week I am going to have transportation during the day so I'll be free to see more. Can't wait!
