Default New from Indiana

Hey, my name is brice and i just bought my first vehicle. I found a 1998 NBM Formula with 54k on the clock for 6 grand. i have just gotten bit by the modding bug and have already bought a lid, ls6 intake and pacesseter lts, the car already had a magnaflow cat back. Im looking forward to learning more about these engines and getting some advice on how to make it faster
Oh and my first time at the track i got a 8.74 at 82.44 mph with a 1.99 60ft. Could anyone tell me if thats pretty good for stock with just a catback. Thanks!

I've spent some time in IN, born the same place where 1996firebirdformula is from ^^ and noticed there's not too many F-bodys around.

Ya thats all there really is down here unless u go to the track. But thats only on friday nights and there are only a few quick street cars down there. I suggest anyone who is willing to drive to the track in terre haute on a friday night to do so because it would make for a fun time and make it more interesting than picking on 11 second hondas.....

I know exactly what you mean about the 11 second hondas at the track. How has the track been prepped this year? I have yet to go because my tranny was going out. But now I have a new tranny and a 3800 yank now. I put headers on my car not to long ago and its not bad at all, actually I just head them off a couple weeks ago and put them back on.

awesome, if u could help me some time that would be appreciated! It has been prepped well, i cut a 1.99 60ft with street tires and a stock converter. the only quick street car is a mach 1 that runs 8.4s. anyone that could help me would be really appreciated and i would pay appropriatly.

What headers did you go with? It wouldnt be a problem helping you put the headers on. Last year the track was horrible. I have yet to even go and watch this year. Me,my dad, brother, cousin and a couple buddys are supposed to go to the track on Sept. 19th.

I've never done it. But I know I can. From your avator pic the car looks good. I just posted a burnout video and a couple pics of me and my cousins car in the multi-media section, check it out if you want so you can see what to look for when we're at the track.
