Default First - Iv always had respect for LSmotors

Several times Iv considered putting one or getting something with 1. Iv got a set of LS1 heads ported by some guy named loydd nelson or something (some big guy a while back I thought).

I have only recently played with some ones that have boltons. My first encounter with 1 was in my 98GS400. I think it had a CB. It would pull about two cars on me from a 40punch and stay about that same distance until 120.

The newer car (a 335 with the JB2 from burgertuning.com - which kicks boost from 8psi to 11) was dead even (50-120 prob) with a SS-6speed that had ext and a tune. I dont know if it had LT.

Last night I played with a fbody Auto-TA that had LT headers, exhaust, COLD air and a MAS (from what he said). I put a couple of cars (at least) on it from about 40-140. The newer boost kit kicks closer to 15psi (probably about 350-350 at the tires).

To be fair, a HC 6speed TA put about two cars on me (when I had the older boost mod) from 40-100 or so. Id like to find him again with the current mod (and maybe some 95+ octane).

Hopefully I can find a c6/ls2 or a c5z06 to get a better point of reference.

Not too bad for a car with 500$ of mods (when you buy the updated boost kit from the guy he gives you a full refund on one of his previous 'piggybacks').

Time to work on the fbody some more. It should be good for low 12s/up11s at least.

Spit it out! WTF are you trying to say? WTF is your point to this thread? That lsx motors are neat?
All I read was "blah blah blah, lsx cars are neat, my car did good in a race against one."

There were multiple points,

a. introduction
b. Some details on my experience with LS cars AND other cars (to avoid mostly the response from someone who thinks I believe 335s can outrun ANYTHING)
c. My current car and its mods and likely performance level.
d. my recent experiences with the specific car compared to LS vehicles.
d. And what I hope to find in the future to compare with.

F.? Spelling? on a webforum? When people type in various IM/TM abbreviations and permutations (not to mention specific vehicle mod abbreviations that are unique to each car if not each FORUM)?? you are worried about MY spelling (which really did not significantly affect the readability)?

Sorry I wasted your precious time. I guess I wont bother again until I have a vid of something looking at my taillights. Or maybe I need to keep the topic to just one point to make it easier for others to comprehend without much thought.

Sweet I really like your car but I wouldn't get too excited about adding $500 to a $50,000 car and running with a fbody with a cat back. I do think your car is sweet and fast but the difference between a C5 Zo6 and a SS with a cat back is A LOT. Have fun I hope you run into someone else to see how it goes.

Well, the SSs was pretty stout - within 10hp of a vette, granted a few hundred lbs heavier.. but you what they say about streets

I will settle on a LS2/c6 auto. Actually, I played with one and before I put on the more recent mod. Up to 90 he was 1full car back.

The other mods available for these cars require another 1500$+ generally for about 25more hp. Actually, the downpipes, generally dont give more than about 15hp and the catback exhaust (which tend to start at 1200$) only add 5-8hp. One of the best bangs per $ is dumpin in a little 100octane. Which can add 15hp alone.

Thats what this car had - http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1095595

One at a Canada track recently went 12.2 at 115.

Generally these mods will put a 335 about even with a e55 Mercedes at least to the 135 range.

An LS2 Vette and a C5 Z06 are both quite a bit faster than an LS1 fbody with a cat back.

The proceed v1 is one of the older and more conservative tunes.
