To remove the grill without damaging it will be a major pain in the ***. Most people just rip it off, and get another one. It's much easier that way, and that plastic piece is cheap. I have one that is brand new actually, never wound up using it. You can have it for 25+shipping if you pull your other one off.

I am moving this to the appearance section, it has no business in Parts Wanted

Pull like you've never pulled before.

I pulled my off and it broke the clips that hold it in. I then purchased another one from my local Chevy dealer for $35.00 and had it sanded and painted. When I tried to put it back in it would not stay because I could not put the clips back on. I had the guys at my work remove the front cumpber to re-install my newly painted grille. Which by the way has been on for about 8 months and the paint is starting to peel. Something having to do with the plastic that GM uses, it releases a solvent of some sort no matter how much you sand it down or prime it.

Mine does however look really good and it was cheap to do.

Good Luck!

I removed the front bumper. Didn't feel like "ripping" the grill off. A couple of 10mm and some clips, and the front comes off. About a 45 minute job or so.
