Can anyone offer an opinion on the "best" fitting aftermarket WS6 style ram air hood? Or does anyone know where to buy an OEM hood for a reasonable price?

My Ws9 hood from US exotics fit perfect, preparation was very minimal. Roger is easy to deal with too, great packaging and excellent quality. But they have the firehawk heat extractors, look cool imho

VFN's are suppose to be the best fitting.

Does that Roger from US Exotics have a website or does he sell only on ebay? Don`t meen to hijack the thread but i`m just curious because i`m gonna be in the market for a WS6 style hood soon.

He doesn't have a website, and from what I heard he is busy doing viper stuff right now.

I would go with vfn. They have very good quality and fitment, as well as good customer service.

Not saying it's a WS6 hood, but it's clearly inspired by a WS6 hood.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the VFN hoods can't have functional ram-air, right?

^^^ Actually, I think they can now. Not 100% sure though. Also, how much weight would I save going from my steel sleek-beak hood to the VFN fiberglass WS6 hood?

VFN hoods are 100% functional.

MY sun coast was perfect. It looked absolutely perfect. Super smooth and the lines were dead on.

My WS9 from Roger@US Exotics did not fit perfect perfect and required a ton of prep. Good enough and passes the 5 foot test for the money. OEMs go for $1,300 is the cheapest I've seen.

Just food for thought... nothing fits like OEM.

i have a VFN WS9 outlaw. I like the hood but I did have to do some prep on the hood. also I had to remove a hood support because one side was weak and I was afraid of cracking the fiberglass. Also I was not too impressed by the quality of VFN. you could tell they had to fix something in front of my hood. and mine doesnt fit perfect. I have a gap above my driver side head light. But I like the height of the hood and I get compliments all the time on it. But if I think of how much money I put at a hood I am kinda pissed at the quality I got on this one. It one of those things if you dont look close it looks great. go look in my fquick page and you will see the gap above the head light

Hmm...I guess....I could live with a gap like that, especially since my car is black; I dunno. But as someone here already said, you get what you pay for, and $1300 or more is way too much for an OEM hood...

I have a Ws.9, fits pretty good. With ANY hood there is some final adjustment. One side is higher and one is lower. I think it rubs on the brake Master Cyl. Had to do a little hogging on the Hood brackets.

Looks killer!!

I like my Suncoast hood. Looks like the factory hood, only a little taller. I don't know what prep was needed since it was on the car when I got it, but it fits very good right now. Hood feels very strong, doesn't really seem to have a weak point at all. You can get the Ram Air box to make it functional as well.

My WS9 from Roger at US Exotics is very nice. The headlight covers needed some adjustment to make it look OEM but no hood will fit perfect without some adj. including a hood from GM. Now it looks great and I would def recommend him if he is still making them, when I met up with him he said he was going to slow down and work on more exotic cars but it's always worth a shot
