Just wanted to note all the standard equipment for each trim level. Looks like the 2SS/RS i want comes in at about $35,500 that has every option minus the sunroof and orange accent interior....not too bad

That is ridiculous. So I can pay what I paid for a year of law school for a Camaro?
Is this a joke. I can buy a Corvette for a little more.
GM has gone stupid...no wonder they are failing.

how is that rediculous? almost 8 years after the 4th gen's stopped you can still get a SS for @ $32k which is the same price as the 02 SS? Its 10 times nicer, has more power and handles much better, easier on the eyes, but yet is still rediculous? I understand everyone has an opinion but I do not agree with that at all. They are coming in cheaper that I originally thought.

So much for everyone that thought the SS would start at $35k or more.
The Challenger R/T is $29,995, so is the Dodge Charger R/T, a Pontiac G8 GT starts at more than the Camaro does.
The Mustang GT remains the cheapest V8 alternative but good luck finding one on a dealer lot for much less than the base price of these other two coupes. And it still has a buggy axle in the back and old, cruddy chassis.
GM priced the Camaro right.

was really hoping for a 29,999 into point, but could have been much worse!!! I do hate the thought of 35k for the car I want, but considering inflation and the quality/hp/performance of what it looks like the camaro will come in at, its a fair price.

He must have just bought a Mustang and is very angry after seeing he could have bought a better car for a couple of grand more or law school and life failed to teach him common sense. I'm curious to know what he thought the new Camaro would cost. Most fully optioned cars are close to thirty thousand dollars nowadays anyway. The price is close to what some people paid for a 2002 fully optioned SS. The new Camaro is def. priced right. If it doesn't sell it won't be because of pricing. There are many other things going on right now that can affect sales. By the way, Corvettes are closer to fifty thousand. How is that a little more?

Thoes proces are spot on what they should be. I was one of the people who thought Gm was gonna try and pull a fast one over on us and start the Camaro at $35 (ss). But that pricing is awesome and the auto rags that i've read all agree that the Camaro is a far superior car than the Challenger or Stang, so I think we're getting one hell of a deal. Gm has delivered a good looking (some dissagree), excellent performing, fairly priced car. I think the only way this can fail now is marketing.

I don't think the pricing is off. The problem is going to be the dealer mark up. It will be a year or two before you can actually get it under sticker and probably with better options. I would love to see a factory stripper.
What is included in the RS package?

GM did a DAM good job pricing the cars, like stated above sure the CURRENT GT is a few grand cheaper...but there slow. Who is to say the new refreshed mustang with the new motor wont cost about 30k as well?

I do wish they would have had the brembo's and FE3 suspension as optional. say $1000 each to get the intro pricepoint closer to the Mustang.
28,999 would have been a killer base model price and given us more options, which we all want. the options list is pretty short
