I finally made it to the track a few weekends ago to get some full passes in. Unfortunately I only got 2 in, the car is falling on its face up to, not sure if its an ingnition issue or belt slip (there is some rubber dusting on the blower so I'd assume this, its an 8 rib, but I may not have tightened it enough) so the MPH suffers pretty bad. Hits a wall at the top of every gear...

I have it set to go to the shop the get squared away and check to make sure its all good, checking valve springs, plugs, belt etc.

The cool thing is the car is FULL weight with a 6 point, zero weight reduction. Weighed in at 3750 w/me in it before I put 3 gallons of gas in it. On a 91 octane tune and stock 10 bolt w/3.23's it went 10.63 @ 122 w/a 1.44 60' which I was extremely happy with. The car is fully setup and scaled suspension wise, and I backed it up w/a 1.47 as well (not as good of a burnout and I left to high, it just felt wrong the second I left).

I'll have more to come in the next month, I'm still dialing it in and getting use to it keeping in mind this was my very first time to make a full 1/4 mile pass and the car still isn't 100%. It has a low 10 in it full weight. Anyway, here:

Thoughts?

Damn nice man, now come run up here in Tulsa & I bet you run even quicker. I have seen several cars make quicker passes on the same set-up here @ TRP vs TV.

For sure, if the car can go 10 teens up there I'll be ecstatic!!

It will! You should see deeeep 10s in colder air with that MPH up. Can't wait to see it run full tilt w/ the issues worked out, with any luck we'll get a run or 2 in before the track closes for the season! :D

Thunder Valley has the potential to be a better track, its one of the few single pour all concrete tracks nationwide, they just do not maintain it at all! Tulsa hooks WAY better than Thunder Valley, they constantly drag the track, VHT every 5 or so runs, where I've been at TVRP for HOURS and never see them drag it and VHT maybe once.

I would think at your power to weight ratio your MPH would be around 135??

Yea, so says the math. The car hits a wall up high in the RPM band, just trying to figure out which plugs/gapping work best with which fuel, checking valve springs for cracks or breaks, and making sure the belt isn't slipping (most likely).
