Default Thermostat question??

How in the hell do you change the thermostat on these LS4s!?!?
It seems that you would have to take off the manifold heat sheild?! Its Such a tight space! Do you unhook the thermostat from under or over the car?!?!
Help me please!!!

You have to remove the manifold, or be very good at getting into tight spaces....

why are you changing the t-stat?? the stock is already a 187* t-stat... so goin down to a 180 one won't do anything for ya... and goin down to a 160 is gonna make your fans run all the time cuz it will constantly be open and flowing coolant, and never get that cool anyway...

I'd just keep the stock t-stat and just adjust the fan settings in a tune... that's what I did... my ECT doesn't get above 194* now...

and our engines like it a little warmer anyway...
